Overlooking York's Medieval City walls, The Walmgate Hotel is a recently renovated city centre hotel. Converting the once dilapidated public house, The Spotted Cow, into a modern hotel offering 12  bedrooms became a 4 year labour of love.

The Walmgate Hotel, run as a family business,  now offers comfortable and homely rooms, each decorated to a high standard. We are ideally located with only a 10 minute walk to the city centre & 15 minutes to York University.
