The Walmgate Hotel is situated just outside Walmgate Bar of the City Wall. We are 10 minutes walk from York city centre and 15 minutes from York University.

Take the A19 Selby/York turn towards York. As you come towards York, the Army base will be on your right hand side. Soon after, you will see a right hand turn on a brown sign saying ´The Barbican Leisure Centre´. Follow this sign onto Cemetary Road and continue straight at the next set of traffic lights onto Barbican Road. Just after the next set of traffic lights you will see us on the right.

Follow A1079 until you get to the junction with Paragon Street where you turn left. Immediately after the next set of traffic lights, turn left into our carpark.

From York train station-By Bus

Take the number 10, 10A (towards Stamford Bridge) or 64A bus (towards Badger Hill) from outside the train
station and get off at Walmgate. The bus journey is approximately 10 to 15 minutes and buses run
throughout the day.

From York coach station-By Bus
